Where “I wonder if I could make that…” usually turns into “Well, I made it.”

Crafty Chaos Studios is a small Canadian creative business built around one very simple problem:

I have way too many ideas and apparently no ability to leave them as ideas.

What started as crafting for fun has turned into a wonderfully chaotic collection of custom apparel, engraved wood and slate, stickers and decals, personalized gifts, paper creations, home décor, completely random experiments, and plenty of things that don't fit neatly into any category.

And honestly? That's kind of the point.

Hi, I'm Michele - the person behind Crafty Chaos Studios.

I'm the designer, maker, engraver, printer, cutter, packer, website updater, idea-generator and occasional person staring at a project wondering why I decided it needed 47 tiny pieces.

Most of what you see here is designed, created, assembled or customized by me using a growing collection of machines, tools and craft supplies that have slowly taken over more space than I'd like to admit.

I love making things that are funny, useful, meaningful, personalized, slightly inappropriate, completely unexpected -or sometimes all of the above.

I love custom projects and figuring out how to turn someone's idea into something they can actually hold, wear, gift, display or stick somewhere.

If I can make it, I'll tell you.

If I can't make it, I'll tell you that too.

And if I have absolutely no idea whether I can make it?

Those are usually the fun ones.

Perfectly Imperfect

Crafty Chaos isn't about mass-producing thousands of identical things.

It's about creating things with personality.

Some pieces are carefully planned. Some are experiments that turn out better than expected. Some inspire entirely new products. And occasionally something comes out a little... flawed but fabulous.

That's part of making things.
